This classic heart is is cast from a granulated original in my studio using the Lost Wax casting process. Granulation is a controlled fusing process that has been utilized for thousands of years. The granules are individually placed and fused with a mouth torch. I then make a mold of the heart and pull a wax copy from that mold and cast it using a vacuum assisted lost wax process.
